Throne of Blood is the next dual format release to get a Blu-ray only re-issue on 8/25/15

Perfect colors for Agnes Varda in California, foggy sea green-ish for NoCal and hazy yellow for Socal.

I agree the Dressed To Kill poster is iconic to the film but either of these is better.

For me it's the placeholder-y font used for the director credit.

Does anyone know when Tess was re-issued in non-dual format and Vampyr was reissued in the second-edition DVD? The date's not on the release calendar.

Maybe it's how Marion Cotillard looks like she's made of sand.

I believe Vampyr was March 10.

I believe Vampyr was March 10.
Thank you, I think that Tess and Two-Lane Blacktop were reissued on that day as well.
edit: Nevermind, Wayback Machine shows that Vampyr was reissued on March 19.

Yeah, I saw that too, but Amazon has it as March 10. http://www.amazon.com/Vampyr-Julian-West/dp/B00R244G6Q

Funny that not long after I finished watching all of Daria, I see she's apparently in Day for Night. And uncharacteristically happy, too.

(Great cover, though, and also for The French Lieutenant's Woman.)

I am not sure where to post this question. If this is not the right place, please move it.
I am looking for empty Blu Ray cases of the type Criterion uses that can contain 2 discs. Where can I find them?
(Criterion uses different design from most others, making it difficult to find these)
Thank you.

You're in the right place.

Criterion does sell the single-disc cases, but I recently learned that Casetopia sells the single, double and triple disc Criterion cases -all at a far cheaper price than Criterion sells on their website (you can buy in bulk or just a single order). So it's either $.80 at Casetopia or $5 at Criterion.com for the same thing...

Strangely, Casetopia also sells Criterion films - although not at bulk prices (only the Tati set at $69.99 is a deal).

This is very helpful. Thank you.

Is everything Criterion originally released in dual format getting reissues? I'm specifically looking for Thief and Breaking the Waves.

Silly question I'm sure, but being fond of these Signature stickers from Criterion, does the titles inside the Gregory / Shawn boxset comes with one ? From the pictures, it looks like A Master Builder do, but I'm not sure.

Louis Malle died 20 years ago ... so, probably not.

I turned my question rather badly, I admit.

My question would be better written like this : do the individual cases inside the set have their own sticker (even only the regular blue one without any signature on) and does A Master Builder has its own signature sticker like seen on the pics or is it only on the individual release ?

It looks like the set has one "regular" blue sticker, Dinner and Vanya don't have any, and the Demme has a signature one, but I'd just like to be sure.

Oh I don't know - David Maysles died in the 80s and his signature turned up on Criterion director-approved stickers.

I'm assuming My Dinner With André still comes with the booklet? It looks like it, just wanted to make sure (that's one of the best booklets they've done)

No, no stickers in the set. They're not individually wrapped. I was also sent an individual Master Builder, which of course came with the sticker.

Also, My Dinner with Andre comes with a booklet. Fisher King comes with the large fold out and the rest are standard fold outs.

Thanks for the feedback Chris. I was indeed wondering if you might have received both the set AND individual releases, so that settles it.

I'm surprised the Malle set comes in an actual box and not just a slip like the Olivier set

I was as well. And it's solidly constructed, not some flimsy thing resembling some of their dual format boxes.

Basically, it's the same type of packaging than for Yojimbo / Sanjuro or the Monterey Pop sets.
