Thanks for the heads up. Note that the product listing for Six Gothic Tales says that it is already OOP, but you can still order it from Arrow's shop (for now).

I'm trying to use some of my reward points for the first time and am a little confused about their value. The FAQ says 1 Reward Point = £0.01, but when I apply 1000, it deducts £8.24; when I apply 1300, it deducts £10.72. And not all the things in my cart are sale items, in case that makes a difference.

Is there some kind of bundle offer? I don't see anything, but when I view my cart there's a message at the top about making sure I've selected the bundle option and not individual items.

The bundle offer was from several sales ago, but they've neglected to remove the reminder.

Gregory, your reward points are only worth half their value against sale items. But, the reward points you get from sale items are worth double. So it's never a good idea to use reward points during sales; instead, pay normal sale prices and then use the ton of points you'll get against non-sale items.

Comedy of Terrors is another new sale item I think, by the way.

I have only a non-discounted item in my cart (say, the Kiju Yoshida set) and apply 1300 points, £13 is deducted. But as I add sale titles in addition to the non-discounted item, the value deducted keeps dropping lower and lower, and I'm still not sure why. I should think that as long as I have enough eligible non-sale stuff in the cart, it should redeem the points at their full value. It would be nice to be able to redeem the points against a non-sale item and also order sale items in the same order (rather than placing separate orders, which costs me shipping fees for one of the orders, brigning the total cost higher than a single order with free shipping and reduced value of the points, so I guess I should do the latter). I still haven't quite figured out their shipping rates, or why the Yoshida set ships free to the U.S. (but not the Continent, according to members here). Purchased alone, at £44.99, it's below the £50 threshold for free worldwide shipping, so I wonder if this is another example of their shop being glitchy.

Perhaps points automatically apply to the lowest value item in your cart or something. You could email Arrow and see if they sort it out, though personally I'd be surprised if they can manage it.

If you're adding sale items, the points will be worth less on those items. If I were you I would order any sale items I wanted, wait for the double points to come in, then spend them against a separate order of the Yoshida set (or any other full-priced items you wanted). This way you get the most amount of points and still get discount on full-priced items (if you wish, of course...you could always not redeem any points just to rack up double points on everything during sale periods).

Thanks. I ended up ordering everything together to get it all shipped free, as the reduced value of the points I redeemed was only worth £2.40 while shipping for the sale items I wanted would have been £5-something. And I got double points on the whole amount spent, not just the sale items. Even without necessarily figuring out all the nuances of the point system, these are some great deals from Arrow.

Thanks! Thief wasn't on the list at £7.99 when I placed my orders on 24 June (most of which are waiting for stock to arrive). BTW, Withnail & I, and three other Arrows I wanted, were in zavvi's "2 for £12" promo (£6.99 each) - but I don't know what they're like for overseas shipping.

I am looking into ordering Videodrome and that Rivette set - would now or September be best for that? I realize I am clueless, but Arrow ARE on a roll now!

I wouldn't wait ordering Videodrome : it seems the set is almost sold out already.

The Long Good Friday + Mona Lisa set dropped to only £17.99 on Amazon just now (3 months after release). Kinda peeved it's dropped so much so suddenly but what can you do? Bargain for those that don't have it.

Might be worth ordering Videodrome too whilst you're at it, since that title is now officially OOP - only one day after release! Amazon seem to have quite a few left in stock but I imagine it won't last much longer with scalpers sniffing the air for an easy resell. Don't delay!

Indeed, especially since it's second only to Avengers: Age of Ultron in the Blu-Ray bestsellers list!

That's good for those who haven't caved in yet but I never expected it to drop so much.

Amazon's listing has now completely disappeared, leaving the set only available from third-party sellers. I wonder if it was a pricing error. Either way, my copy already shipped.

Yeah was either a pricing error or the last of their stock...could it be going out of print already? Certainly expected it to within a few months, and it has been 3 months since it was released.

Videodrome has also gone from Amazon. People will have to hurry if they want to avoid the scalpers!

What would be the point of accelerating its extinction by discounting it so heavily so soon? In any case, it's still available directly from Arrow (unlike Videodrome) and I don't believe we've heard any news from them about stock running low.

My copy of the Long Good Friday / Mona Lisa finally shipped from Amazon today, so it does appear their stock is getting reupped

I'd have understood if it was just a question of getting rid of the last copies, but it doesn't seem so.
