Only needed 2 titles to get my $50 certificate. Don't Look Now and Satyricon were at the top of my wishlist, but both were backordered by the time I got home. So I picked up Sword Of Doom and Safe and just before checking out I noticed that shipping wasn't free, so I threw in Bitter Tears Of Petra von Kant to get the free shipping.

A bit surprised to see my stuff is scheduled for delivery tomorrow - the free shipping option came up with Priority Mail, as opposed to the UPS Ground it's been in the past. Did I just get lucky or did they change their mailing service?

Mine shipped via Priority as well. What also surprised me is that one of my three titles was back-ordered until early April but according to the shipping email it's the entire order. Someone wants me to watch the Godard and Fellini films sooner than later!

I expect we'll get a flash sale within the next couple of weeks (probably next week).

I hope they wait another week, as I'd like to pick up My Own private Idaho.

For the next twenty-four hours at Criterion.com, all in-stock Blu-rays and DVDs will be 50% off the suggested retail price (SRP). It’s a great chance to catch up with our exciting recent releases, including Moonrise Kingdom; Dressed to Kill; A Room with a View; Two Days, One Night; Breaker Morant; Blind Chance; The Black Stallion; and Day for Night. Just enter the promotional code SUZY on your shopping cart page to apply the discount.

If you need some help deciding what to buy, we’ve created a real-time dashboard where you can see top sellers and what’s running low, plus categories like art-house classics, 1970s American cinema, cult movies, classic film noir, and more. And we’ll be adding new themes every few hours.

We’ve also teamed up with BAGGU to collaborate on a custom Criterion Collection reusable shopping bag, and it’s yours with a purchase over $100! (Sorry, tax and shipping do not count toward total.)

The code expires at noon EDT tomorrow, October 7, so don’t delay!

P.S. Please make sure to select the right format (Blu-ray or DVD, where applicable) when ordering! In most cases, we can’t change or cancel orders once received.

Wow, as luck may strike me, I was actually up early enough this time (due to a hike) to snag Moonrise Kingdom before the EST'ers bought them all!

The Baggu comes at the perfect time, as I needed something to prepare for California's plastic bag ban.

As a reminder, now is again a great time to get some of the Dual Format titles that are still available at Criterion's site and nowhere else - Foreign Correspondent comes immediately to mind, but checkout the others. There's also rumors of Zatoichi being split into separate editions in the near future.

I just realized that I can use the Facebook $10 credit from last week and theoretically get something from CC for $10+shipping? correct?

Yes, or spend $50 and get free shipping. (You'll also be taxed if you live in New York.)

Or Kentucky. (Since the warehouse is here. On the upside, shipping is fast.)

I'm pretty shocked that Moonrise Kingdom hasn't sold out. Isn't the most recent Wes Anderson release usually the first to go?

Isn't the sale page using the term "arthouse classic" for State of Siege stretching the truth just a bit too far?

You can add The Innocents, Silent Ozu—Three Crime Dramas and Agnès Varda in California to the sold out list.

I wouldn't be surprised if they gave that title a bigger press run, especially with the knowledge of how past releases sold.

This sale is odd. I expected more titles to sell out like what has happened in the past where titles would sell out within the first fee hours of the sale

I know with the recent Amazon sale I bought the titles several titles I would have otherwise picked up in the flash sale. Sure, I paid a few extra bucks each, I didn't have to hurry get titles that might potentially sale out. I also didn't have to buy a lot of expensive movies at once, instead able to space out my orders. I only bought a movie in the flash sale at all because of the $10 credit given out via Facebook.

It's nice to hear the Eclipse series selling well, but I can't say if it's growing interest or just a smaller print

It's neat they're including the goodies in the sale, it's not often to see their prices drop.
