Manchurian candidate looks great, almost makes up for Gilda

You like Gilda not Manchurian?
Me I hate the garish pink spine, and don't like the cover shot of Rita they used either. Makes it seem more like a Busby Berkley musical than a seductive noir

Yes - I think it's overall one of the better packages they've released art-wise, particularly when you consider that they're trying to sell these discs

That Gilda cover is non-sexually indecent

But you must be in my corner on the rest of the packaging, right? I mean, we're Viridiana buddies :(

Disappointingly Bicycle Thieves comes in a standard case. Still has a thick booklet, though.

I'm totally okay with standard cases, as long as they don't thin out the printed material.

but, the printed materials are already reduced, if you compare the thick blu-ray booklet with the thick DVD book. :(

Unfortunately the material by Burnett, Zavattini, and Bazin was cut out

Another great Kuhwald cover for Jordan, finally bucking the trend on bad Sony covers (the new Chaplins), and Chienne looks good too

Yeah I have seen it. It's not the art style. I love the MoC cover but the full face frontal doesn't work.

Okay, I don't mind the image, but trying to make the font look more art deco rather than psychedelic seems a disservice to the material.

Good month, cover wise. Especially love the Dr. Strangelove and Chienne covers

They quickly/quietly updated the Dr Strangelove artwork after some plane anoraks pointed out that the pictured plane wasn't a B-52 (left = old, right = corrected)
