Seems my credit card company is being underzealous about lowering the £ conversion rate (if temp charges from yesterday are any indication), so good to read at least paypal is doing a better job of it. Now to decide what I need.

As are The Firemen's Ball, Closely Observed Trains and Hard to Be a God. They were £8 in Fopp recently but I don't live near a Fopp. In the last Arrow sale they were £9.99 each!

I already have The Firemen's Ball, so went for Closely Observed Trains this time around. Tempted to get Hard to Be a God as well, but not sure I'd watch it again anytime soon as it's obviously quite a long and bewildering experience. I wonder if the booklet is still in-print?

Might go for Requiescant instead - can anyone recommend it? I'm into my Spaghetti Westerns, and my favourite directors of the genre being Leone, Corbucci and Petroni. I've not watched Cemetery Without Crosses yet but I enjoyed Day of Anger (Van Cleef being my favourite Spaghetti Western actor). I've heard mixed things about Requiescant, but also a lot of praise for it (including people like Alex Cox)...

This is my first order from Arrow. As a US customer, can anyone ballpark how long do they usually take for shipping purchases and when they arrive? Just curious, because most of my UK buys are via Amazon which take about 10 days from shipping.

Sales can be weird as things go in/out of stock and usually take an extra day or two to process, but outside of sales it's usually only one day later it all ships; I usually get items in DC almost exactly 7 days after it ships, which usually is the day after the order, though you should probably expect slight delays in that due to an influx of orders at the moment. Of course with international postage the odd package takes three weeks to come for no apparent reason but I'd say Arrow's shipping is just as quick as Amazon's if not quicker.

With this being the 2nd Friday in July and there heing no word on announcements forthcoming, it seems likely the sale will not overap with October announcements. I'll wait until later before finally making my own order, regardless.

Yeah, it's a little bit of a shame but whatever announcements are made will also be available in a sale in September anyway (or there'll be an Early Bird offer that supersedes the savings). Chances are the exchange rate will still be fairly low or ever lower but part of me just wanted to part with my money now for whatever is to come!

***THE BURNING STOCK UPDATE***

Our SteelBook of The Burning has now sold out via the Arrow Store! You can still pre-order this title from Amazon, HMV and Zavvi (links below.)

If you are keen to get hold of this title we would suggest putting in an order in soon to avoid disappointment.

Order via Amazon: http://amzn.to/2aJGv8M" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Order via HMV: http://bit.ly/2bhga5W" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Order via Zavvi: http://bit.ly/2bhglxX" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And the reusable 20% off code K8U8H9K works on them for now, but apparently not on preorders.

I mentioned that code for international customers mainly, if you are based in the US the 20% reusable code is a better deal (unless you are ordering items that are not meeting the free shipping threshold).

Also, supposedly if you navigate to B&N's site (or any other site) through TopCashback today, you get 10% cashback on your purchase. (It would normally be closer to 2%.)

A shame that Dillinger is out of stock. That's the best price I've seen anywhere for this title.

A bunch of Arrow Academy titles seem to be on offer at HMV right now, for only £7.99 each. Most of them have been on offer before, but Three Brothers and the Fassbinder titles haven't been this low before, nor have the Reggio reissues.

I notice Amazon have matched a few prices already, if importers are interested too. They may all end up in the next Arrow sale though, which is probably in a months' time and you'd get reward points back. I went for Three Brothers and Hard to Be a God (mainly so I don't miss out on a booklet for the latter).

Donnie Darko is 19.99 after VAT removal at Amazon, cheaper than Arrow direct by eight pounds already

So, er, not to get anybody's hopes up by bumping this thread, but wondered if anyone had any idea what's up with the next Arrow sale? Last year's fall sale began August 31st and ran for several weeks, and we're now at the last full weekend of September with no indication anything's coming. Does Brexit mean there'll be less offers from Arrow per year? I, like many people here, use the sales primarily to pre-order new titles and get more points rather than to actually get something on sale and I'm just sitting here with my money waiting for Arrow to take it. If anything I'll end up needing to spend less considering it's probably going to come (if it does) almost concurrently with the Criterion flash sale in early-ish October.

Sales have most often been every third month, in March, June, September, and December. Sometimes early in the month, sometimes later.

Usually it's not this late though - the past two years have been, as said, 8/31 and 9/19. 8/31 was a Monday, though, so I suppose there's still a chance the sale could start up this coming Monday.

Only looking at the fall sales gives you too small of a sample size. Here are all the sale start dates since this thread was started:

12/2/13
3/7/14
6/13/14
9/19/14
12/9/14
3/27/15
6/22/15
8/31/15
12/16/15
3/24/16
6/28/16

Plenty of these sales have started after the 23rd of the months I mentioned above, most notably, the last two, which might suggest a trend. I wouldn't start panicking for another week.

Hooray! Just ordered $200 worth of products. Hoping the Criterion sale is the Tuesday after next then (partially so I can order McCabe and Mrs. Miller, but mostly to spread these out a little further)

The Nikkatsu Diamond Guys Vol. 1 set for just £11 is a fantastic bargain.

Word to the wise: double points isn't working at the moment, but this is probably a bug and Arrow'll likely credit accounts what they deserve anyway.
