It wasn't a direct quote from him, but here is the passage I mentioned (it is from The Raygun Newsletter):
...
He also expanded on the increasing selection, noting that deals with the likes of MGM and Warner would see titles coming to the UK. A notable example will come later in the year with the release of the Monterey Pop Festival concert across both territories.

One of the worst Criterion months in history for my tastes, saved thankfully by Rebecca!

Looks like an Olympics package. Reissue of Tokyo Olympiad including Visions of Eight and others?

It would be a smart move right before the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

There were more listed but I had to leave the computer and on Iphone now which is not ideal to post the phantom pages.

It would be wonderful if the listing for Arthur Penn was for The Miracle Worker. I think that film is a masterpiece and its needed an upgrade for a very long time.

This has to be for a FilmStruck series on Olympic-related films; although it's heartening that Tokyo Olympiad is covered by some of these names. Maybe that is coming back into print like so many other titles.

Was wondering why Leni Riefenstahl wasn't included with these names; but then I remembered she got a phantom page ages ago.

I just felt obligated to comment, it's pretty obviously just for the Olympics link. Remains to be seen if this is just some super-theme on Filmstruck or a sizable release for the holidays.

The Winter Olympics begins February 8th 2018 in South Korea. Could be timed for that.

Oh how I wish this was for a box set of the dead trilogy. Anchor Bay's fantastic Dawn of the Dead ULTIMATE EDITION never got an HD upgrade. And Arrow's blu is OOP and pricey as hell. Sadly, the rightsholder apparently commissioned a pricey 3D conversion, and thus is charging insane amounts to license the film. So it looks like we'll be stuck with just Night of the Living Dead, arguably the weakest of the three. But still good, and an important film.

It will be a huge release for Criterion. There will be hordes of people buying this that never heard of the Criterion Collection.
