Interesting story about Sayles's involvement is that he wrote the screenplay and wasn't keen on directing it, but years before the film ultimately got made he had a meeting with some producers who wanted to do the film, but he disliked them so much in the initial part of the meeting that he got sort of pushy with them to sink any prospects of it happening. Then he ended up thinking that Forsyth made a very good film out of it.

Also, there really isn’t a bad Golden Girls episode, but I just revisited the one with Burt, and it’s hilarious.

I heard he was good on an episode of King of Queens. I vaguely remember Evening Shade, but can't think of anywhere it would be accessible now.
