My copy of Nightmare Alley doesn't have an insert like all of the other noirs I've bought, is this just my copy or are all of them lacking one?

Too bad you didn't have the insert-- it's a good one, outlining the background of the film with some interesting stuff, vs. the other inserts in the series, which tend to be pretty cursory stuff. Let them know, I'm sure they'll send you one.

EDIT: Glad to see the jettisoning of Alain "Discoboy Peanuthead" Silver is holding. That guy's nancing arrogance (particularly on NIGHTMARE ALLEY, coincidentally), especially vs. Ursini, irritates me to no end.

They've also included the next three for pre-order as part of the sale. This FOX sale is also going on at DVD Planet, for those like myself who are racking up frequent buyer points there.

Fox sale at DDD
I think, as with DVD Planet, you can also just add any $9.98 Fox title to your cart and it will automatically count every third item as free.

Help! My Nightmare Alley arrived without booklet (I know, I'm anal, but I want the whole package baby!) and I can't find the damn customer service email address. Anyone know how to reach these folks? I went to fox home but just have a million product links, not customer service. Help me obi-wan!

It seems Boomerang was pulled at the last minute and won't be coming out in June.

Is there any more information concerning Boomerang being released or not released come 6 June?

It appears that Boomerang most definitely won't be coming out 6 June. It is quite an interesting story as to why. And here is another link to The Blackboard for more information.

Well, I am one of those people who took advantage of the buy 2, get 1 free deal at DeepDiscountDVD, only to have recently found out that the title now appears as a backorder in my "order status" section.

Oddly enough, I was visiting my local Borders here in Evanston, IL this past week and noticed that they have 3 copies of Boomerang STOCKED on their shelves. I decided not to get it as I already have the film on pre-order from DDD. But after having read the Home Theater Forum's discussion yesterday, I picked up a copy just in case this title gets indefinitely postponed.

If in the next month, Fox decides to place it in merchant distribution again, I'll just return my Borders copy back to the local store. But for now, I'm holding on to this puppy!

Incidentally, there were two copies left at the local Borders if anyone is interested.

Very, very strange that Fox would release this title 2 weeks before the previously announced June 6th date (and only select stores at that), then decide to hold back the title. I wonder if it's a bad press, or perhaps the commentary track contains information that the Kazan estate does not approve of?

Thanks for the advice. I just ran to a Borders nearby, and picked up their 2 copies of "Boomerang". It would be nice to have an extra one lying around, in case they become valuable...

I did too. It's such a strange phenomenon that Borders nationwide would all be breaking street date on this particular title.
