I got one yesterday afternoon as well. However, the USPS tracking page says it is in "pre-shipment", so Criterion may be jumping the gun a bit haha.

I made an order in the first hour that’s already in transit expected to be delivered on Monday. I made a second order in the final hour and have not received a shipping notification.

I made two orders. 4 blurays in the first 5 minutes of sale. About 7 hours later I ordered 2 blus with a $50 points reward GC. The 2 items shipped before the 4 items.

My order will actually be here today, so they obv bumped me up to Priority Mail even though I just got the free standard, which was nice of them

^ Same with mine. I assume there's a disc number threshold for these sales past which Priority becomes easier to manage for the warehouse and equally affordable as the other options.

I suspect when you go over $100 they want the accountability of Priority even if the customer didn't pay for it

Just checked my tracking and mine is out for delivery today. I was bumped to priority and only spent $75.

Criterion loves me too.

I have them ship to my PO Box. Think it's been shipped priority mail for at least the last few flash sales. My shipment from them due tomorrow got delivered today (two days), by the way.

(And my "2-day" amazon prime order which was supposed to be delivered Wednesday also finally got delivered today (Friday).)

Edit: And looks like the other shipment from Criterion arrives today (Saturday), two days as well.

Mine hasn’t shipped and I’m hoping they decide to upgrade Canadian orders to courier, with a Canada Post strike starting Monday.

My orders are “out for delivery” without no notifications that they actually shipped. I had to check my Criterion order page to see the status. I thought they send email notices. Guess not.

My order to Toronto shipped in record time, via DHL (they are using DHL it seems now). I placed the order 2 hours after the sale started on Wednesday, arrived the NEXT DAY, in the afternoon. Hell, I even beat the US orders in speed. I am sure it must have been one of those "everything goes right" trips. Or they just like my Canadian money....haha.

My order shipped on Thursday, was scheduled to arrive on Monday, and arrived yesterday (Saturday). So things work out for the best sometimes.

Received my order from the flash sale and one of the titles in a plastic Scanavo case has a long deep crack running along the front of the plastic case which causes the art to dip deep inside. Is this the kind of thing Criterion would send a replacement for? Or should I shut up and pay for a new Scanavo or should I shut up and just deal with it?

You can contact them for a replacement case, but they are known to often make you pay for this kind of things. But maybe you'll get lucky with this one !

I got a damaged sleeve that I need to e-mail them about as well. No guarantees, but in the past, I've found that if I e-mail them and preemptively offer to pay for a replacement, and either send (or offer to send) pictures of the damage, they're usually very good to replace without asking for payment. Especially if the sleeve is damaged too. They've actually even sent free replacements to me for discs that were shipped from other retailers.

I can't imagine them not replacing a broken case from an order you placed on their site

I've had to do this once, though it was pretty egregious - there was deep gash in the front cover that not only damaged the case but creased the front insert. Got a replacement quick.

My David Lean/Noël Coward boxset had massive slashes across it and a crumpled corner upon receiving it after a flash sale. Sent an email to Mulvaney, attached a picture, and had a new case sent to me two days later.

Try this e-mail address ([email protected]). I once had a similar issue and never got a response from the Mulvaney e-mail. I tried the orders@criterion one and received a friendly response and a replacement Scanavo case shortly afterward.

posting this out of curiosity, in case anyone knows: when did the Criterion Designs book disappear from the Criterion store? I saw a copy at a local independent book store yesterday for $48 and I quickly tried to look this up on my smart phone and could not find it on Criterion.com and the Amazon listings I could find this morning when logging into my Prime account are only from third-party vendors for outrageous prices. (I really don't need this book naturally, but if it has gone officially OOP, $48 sounds like a fantastic find.)
