Remember when Madonna was with Guy Ritchie and the narrative around it was that she was with this wild, bad boy filmmaker?

I believe that even at that time, we knew he ractually just was a wild bad filmmaker. Especially after Swept Away.

What in the fuck is going on with Hollywood these days? Guy Ritchie directing Will Smith as a crunchberry. Absolutely nothing makes sense.

From the looks of this trailer, he has indeed been a very bad boy

I think it will underperform, and then ultimately be forgotten once Rob Marshall's Little Mermaid arrives, which will probably do gangbusters.

There's two others this year that will take the edge of this one failing: Dumbo (which shockingly doesn't look terrible) and the Lion King, which will prob end up being the highest grossing film of all time

Didnt the trailer to Aquaman also get terrible reactions? I am not sure why you are all convinced this will tank.

Oh it could be a bomb ass movie but that doesn't mean this teaser wasn't totally bizarre in some aspects. Uncanny valley is very much a thing.

Every frame of the Aquaman trailer was not so hideously wrong in the same way as the trailer for this.

While not a good barometer (or any kind of barometer) of success, the fact that the trailer has 48k dislikes over 34k likes on youtube has to have Disney worrying.

In the words of Mitch Hedberg, this still looks very unnecessary

Terrible "action music cues", too many shots not lasting longer than one second, Mr Ritchie's headache inducing speed ramping and everything looking too perfect and squeaky clean. Disney's corporate-style filmmaking is just all kinds of repulsive. Dumbo and Lion King can fuck off too.

God forbid that a female character in a children's film be insufficiently sexualised!

LOL @ ‘Aladdin’ Footage of Will Smith’s Singing Genie Divides CinemaCon: ‘It Is Pure Nightmare Fuel’

Good luck to Disney to try course correct the narrative for this film before it hits theaters.

Considering the current non-expectations regarding the movie, why would they go at CinemaCon with non finalised footage ?! That's really shooting themselves in the foot.

Because it’s insurance: if everyone loves the footage, no prob, it’ll be even better once it’s finished! If everyone hates it, no prob, it’s not finished yet so just wait!

Maybe that's just me, but I usually get the impression that feedbacks aren't really taking into account it's not finalised and stick to "OMG this looks awful".

New clip

I find it harder and harder to believe that Guy Ritchie directed this with every new piece of footage released.
