Neil Gaiman is said to have been a former Scientologist, and now seems to be classified "SP" or "Suppressive Person":
Wikipedia wrote:L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, formulated "The Fair Game Law" in a 1965 policy letter: "A Suppressive Person or Group becomes 'fair game.'" In a subsequent policy statement, Hubbard wrote that a person deemed "Fair Game" "may be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed."

So if anyone is visiting London, Ontario in the near future, be sure to visit Paul Haggis park. Lolita Davidovich must be so pissed right now.

Not content to merely be the worst movie in recent memory, Crash is now set to be the worst TV series as well

EDIT: I see this is old news yet it took almost two years to materialize...

Apparently you've had the good fortune to miss 99% of the films in theaters the last three years or so.

racist
If hating crap like World Trade Center, War of the Worlds, and The Marine more than Crash makes me racist then dammit I'm a racist.

I liked Crash. As far as I can gather from your posts, you don't like anything anyway.

War of the Worlds is actually a great movie so I don't know what you're going off on. And anyone who bothered to actually watch World Trade Center got what they deserved

Hating on Crash is so four years ago.

My favorite part of the film is, after 42 minutes of the dialogue consisting of nothing but on-the-nose race commentary, Brendon Frasier walks out of his office, looking at papers, and says, "Do you think this has something to do with race?"

I literally fell off my sofa laughing.

Haggis's Crash has TV critics buzzing

Dennis Hopper appears to be in the lead role as a Phil Spector-ish music producer.

Resurrecting the thread as it would seem that the long-awaited tv series is finally getting airing next month. I CAN'T WAIT.

AV Club's Amelie wrote a great post on the subject. Unfortunately the trailer link is dead, so if anyone can find a working one, it'd be appreciated as from the description, this sounds every bit as absurd and contrived as the movie itself.

"Is that a race card in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" =D>

100% agreed. Only film I have ever seen in my life that boiled my blood. Only film I have ever seen that I felt outright offended. Only film I have seen that felt like it was purposely insulting the little intelligence I have.

Have I seen worse films? Absolutely. But Baby Geniuses 2 didn't masquerade. And none of the films I can possibly name come close the level at which Crash pretended to be brilliant and actually got awarded for such chicanery (2004/2005 might have been a weak year, but that is a different thread). This was the most inefficacious film I have ever seen on all levels. Additionally, it is the only film in the 120 year history of film I pro-actively hate. It's the only film I don't care about how obnoxious I sound when hating. Terrible piece of trash. You couldn't get a more visceral reaction from me if you tried.

Are you saying it offended into more pro-active hate than Birth of a Nation? I haven't seen Crash, but I'd think you'd have to be trying, hard, to get a hateful reaction stronger than Birth of a Nation.
