It isn’t available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Diabolik and all of the eBay listings are around $60-70

Anyone seen a good price on Demonlover? Amazon’s price sucks, as is fast becoming the norm, but I don’t want to have to wait for a sale.

Unfortunately, I don't think there are 'good' prices on Arrow pre-orders anymore, as they've hiked list-prices to £24.99 a pop, but Demonlover is £18.00 direct from Arrow. Since they don't remove VAT for US customers, you're still paying more than at Amazon, but at least you get loyalty points and won't have to wait 3-4 weeks for Asendia to finally deliver it to you.

I think my pre-order caught that change, thankfully, as I apparently have a four pound refund coming my way.

Based on an email going out to those who preordered upcoming titles, Arrow is prepping a buy one get one free sale that will apparently include all titles released through June. Those who already preordered June releases will get the equivalent discount in rewards points

I think it'll be Arrow Video titles only, not Academy, to match the instore promotion at HMV and Fopp.

At least some Arrow Academy titles are part of the sale at Fopp Gateshead (The Long Goodbye, Naked City, Sullivan's Travels).

On Twitter Arrow states the 10th Anniversary Buy One Get One Free sale will run June 17 - July 7.

One benefit of the Arrow Video promotion in HMV stores is that my local finally managed to stock Phantom Lady, so I bought it along with Nightfall just the other day (in the 2 for £25 offer).

Also picked up several decent Arrow Video titles for £7.50 each - The Andromeda Strain, The Grand Duel, Black Moon Rising, Orgies of Edo, Phantasm, Horror Express, Yakuza Law, Before We Vanish - and got both the Crimson Peak LE and Sister Street Fighter Collection for £12.50 each. :)

Keen to take full advantage of this deal by dipping my toe into more gliallo but I’ve really got no idea where to go in the vast catalogue Arrow have built over the years. I’ve seen most of the Argentos and A Bay of Blood but I’m otherwise a blank slate. I think my tastes lean more towards police investigation thrillers with a strong mystery element more than they do towards those with stronger horror or slasher overtones, if that’s a credible way to navigate the genre.

Any aficionados willing to indulge me with a few recs? Tenebrae is my favourite of the Argento giallos (gialli?) if that helps, while Deep Red did little for me.

Mr Sausage wrote several guides for the Horror List a few years back, I think most if not all of Arrow’s current Giallo holdings were discussed
Giallos, part 1 (Mr Sausage)
Giallos, part 2 (Mr Sausage)
Giallos, part 3 (Mr Sausage)
Of course, the one I really like, and which I think has a strong mystery that you might respond to, Death Walks on High Heels, he didn’t care for!

What Have You Done To Solange is the best one I have seen and also has more of a mystery element.

The best Arrow giallo titles are:
The Fifth Cord
The Possessed
What Have You Done to Solange?
The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave
The Case of the Scorpion’s Tale
Don’t Torture a Duckling

and then of course the heavy hitters, Crystal plumage, Deep Red, Tenebre, and Blood & Black Lace.

The Arrow website does have almost the entire Academy catalogue in the deal. Everything up to and including the Marx Bros re-releases.

That's a shame that there is this threshold for Academy titles while the Video ones don't have an equivalent one. Andromeda and The Grand Duel are also currently out of stock but Arrow received some stock which simply hasn't been processed yet.
EDIT : nice try on a cash grab on the Yoshida set, originally sold £44.99 on their webstore, now priced at £60.

Given the sale’s celebrating 10 years of Arrow Video, it’s more surprising there’s any Academy titles included at all.

While they started doing Video DVD releases in June 2009, they released Cinema Paradiso on BD in Jan 2009, as an Arrow Films title, and it has now become an Academy title. That's why I'm not taking the "Video" specific as part of the branch, but rather as Arrow as a recognizable branded label (though the Academy re-branding of non-Video titles indeed came later), but of course, that's just my own rationale.

Took a chance with the Taisho Trilogy, along with Eight Hours Don't Make a Day. I'll be quite happy if i get a long OOP title for £25. Not holding my breath tough.

Has anyone been able to check out? Despite logging into my account & using the same info as my previous orders, I get an error message when trying to confirm the billing address & no clue as to what the problem is.

Problem solved: used Safari instead of Chrome

A bunch of (all?) Arrow films are $3.99 to purchase in HD on iTunes - the few I spot-checked don't appear to play nice with MoviesAnywhere, but still a pretty fantastic deal!
