I love the crease on the edge of The Fugitive Kind to make it look like a ratty old paperback. That’s exactly what my classroom set of Streetcar Named Desire looks like after years of use and abuse from students.

I've seen the Godzilla set.
It looks like a European comic book (think Tintin or Asterix) in terms of dimensions and format. It IS higher and deeper than the Bergman set but very thin. It might be as thin as a regular Scanavo, actually, maybe even thinner.

The book part comes first. The 8 discs are on the last 2 pages. The slots are nicely put, not in a "traditional" way à la Bergman but rather in diagonal. It makes the layout quite dynamic in terms of presentation.
I haven't been able to take pics of it though. The place was too crowded and not one I wanted to look like a fool if I made a mess with it trying to take pics of it !

Holiday is mostly pretty nice...except the foreground Hepburn is closer to Joan Allen or even Glenn Close, and she looks kind of like she's about to slit Cary's throat.

Why?

1) he seems overly upset in his follow up comments about the rubber nipples being too secure for holding the discs. Whether the trayless digipak is flimsy will only be known when anyone has it in their hands. His only valid complaint is his claim the stickiness could damage the booklet.

2) I simply like they tried something new here and to me it doesn't seem so far like it's anything to lose sleep over. At least they're not shoved in sleeves a la Godzilla, IAMMMMW's first run, Bergman....

I recall it being a bit of a pain to put discs back onto those rubber type things. But I suppose it's better than slots, which I don't care for one bit. Can't wait to see the next stupid thing they come up with...
