Feh on the Daily Beast. The Chicago Tribune published a series of article on this when the story first broke. (Here's one.) It was a big local story since McDonald's was based in nearby Oak Brook even before it moved into the West Loop.flyonthewall2983 wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2019 4:14 pmThis project was shelved by Disney, but HBO is releasing a documentary series based on the story called McMillions.flyonthewall2983 wrote: Thu Aug 02, 2018 10:18 pm The true story of how a crooked cop rigged the McDonalds Monopoly game that was recently published in The Daily Beast, has since been courted by several major studios. Hah! Sadly, that's probably the attitude most people have, hence the slow and agonizing (and very tragic) death of local news coverage.

It was the Daily Beast item that got Hollywood interested, as soon after it's publication it became the subject of a brief bidding war that Fox won.
