Re: Criterion & Eclipse Cover Art & Packaging Babble-on Vol. 7
I just took some CC blus I’m gonna watch during isolation from my shelf to my coffee table, and I noticed that War and Peace doesn’t have the year on the cover! I wonder if that was an oversight or intentional, and are there others without it?

It does have the year on the cover. Upper right on the back. 1966-67.

Right, but it's commonly on the front cover as well, except for multi-film sets, which I guess they're counting this as

Is it new information that Stray Dog now has a wacky C on the website? (Listings everywhere else still show the old logo.)

Re: Criterion & Eclipse Cover Art & Packaging Babble-on Vol. 7
I can vouch, yes. It does. I ordered it with a coupon for my uncle who likes it. It came in a clear case, with the disc also having a wacky C. Some titles are getting this treatment, with my first encounter being a Viridiana copy I bought during the flash sale last year. These discs though retain the old menus, not the newer menus.dustybooks wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 1:36 am Is it new information that Stray Dog now has a wacky C on the website? Similar to the Fanny and Alexander set, the Rohmer set drops the spine numbers for the individual titles.

Is The Bakery Girl of Monceau's description on the packaging incomplete?

Or the new mis-sized Six Moral Tales box collector's item. They don't seem to have much luck with this release!CSM126 wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2020 10:20 pm Oh boy, the typo Six Moral Tales package is gonna be the new Cassavetes “Jimmy Crack Corn” collector item, isn’t it?

The Toni cover already has my Best Cover of the Year vote— is this one of my mixes?

The Comfort of Strangers cover is wild. Toni is subtly powerful.

Yeah, the Toni cover will probably be regarded as one of Criterion's best.
