At quick glance I really thought they were releasing Caddyshack.

For the sake of keeping this thread on topic, discussion of whether or not the Parasite cover constitutes a spoiler for the film or not (note: if you're just discussing the cover itself it can and should still go within this cover art thread) moved to its own thread

Pierrot Le Fou had a great cover. The new one is so bland...

I guess that the "Claudine" cover/artwork was done by the one who is behind the W.F Fassbinder series "Eight Hours Don't Make A Day" (which I like quite a bit) ?
at the first time when I saw the "Claudine" typography/font I was think about a movie like "Justine" or "Emmanuelle"...
I regret the good old OOP "Pierrot Le Fou"... had the peluche pet be replaced by the cute fox (or is it a fennec) table scene that would have been so cute...

Claudine’s cover was done by Alphaville design (aka Tony Stella and Midnight Marauder), meanwhile Eight Hours was illustrated by Sam Hadley (Now Voyager, Polyester)Rupert Pupkin wrote: Thu Jul 16, 2020 3:09 am I guess that the "Claudine" cover/artwork was done by the one who is behind the W.F Fassbinder series "Eight Hours Don't Make A Day" (which I like quite a bit) ?

Still ugly, but now also expensive to manufacture

Parasite is one of the great packaging designs in the Criterion canon. The digipak has the original graphic and the die-cut slipcover contains the black wording on white that mimics the black on white credits on the theatrical release poster. Not to mention the morse code of course.

Describing how someone baked a dish by using every item he could find instead of taking a decision as what to cook precisely doesn't make the dish more digest to eat.

One of the most hyperbolic statements made in the history of the Criterion canonWalter Kurtz wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2020 7:10 pm Parasite is one of the great packaging designs in the Criterion canon.

These are fine. I like the cover. Ekberg and Quinn look weird(er than intended)

It's an aesthetic that I both have no personal interest in (much like the films themselves) but also think they absolutely nailed it and the packaging looks very elegant (for those who have gotten over melting down about sleeves...)

I kinda like these. Fellini’s not really a favorite of mine but it feels like these designs are a proper homage to him. And like domino says, the cover itself is great.

As I mentioned in the dedicated thread, I cannot stand the La Dolce Vita color scheme, but I like all the rest

The more I look at it, I honestly think it's their worst cover ever. Or at least the most visually offensive.

Go look at Katarina Blum’s smudged Marge cover again— this ain’t great, but even in recent memory they’ve gone low

I’m sure part of it is due to bias since it’s repping one of my favorite films
