Maybe it has to do with the director or the Our Gang presence in the film?

The Little Rascals completists and Stevens auteurists are almost as rabid as the Nolan/steelbook intersection.

Thank God, the sorely needed 4K restoration of General Spanky finally has some legs to stand on.

HD versions of Fleischer Popeyes and a Buddy cartoon—interesting.

According to a couple of posters on Bluray.com, Feltenstein said on a podcast that they are interested in releasing A Night at the Opera instead of licensing it to Criterion. If that's the case what the hell are they waiting for...

got a gift certificate and was thinking of grabbing some of the theatrical animation, like the Popeyes, but I see wikipedia no longer hosts a list of blurays on Warner Archive. Anyone know off hand what theatrical animation blu rays WBArchives has put out?

I think these are all of them:

Popeye The 1940s Vol 1-3
Tex Avery Screwball Classics Vol 1
Tom and Jerry Golden Collection Vol 1 (reissue/reprinting from previously wide-release title)
The Flight of the Dragons
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

There are also theatrical animated shorts included as bonus features on some titles (usually just things that had them as DVD era extras/Warner Night at the Movies extras), and I think most are proper HD transfers.

Worth noting that Batman: Mask of the Phantasm also comes in the WHV Batman: The Animated Series - Complete Series release. I imagine the consumer that wants the film is 99% overlapped with someone that wants the series.

Just for future reference, Blu-ray.com maintains a list of all WAC blu-ray titles.

They have BD lists for most of the major boutique labels. Just google the company's name and "blu-ray.com."

Ha, knew holding out on the German Blu-ray of Sgt York was the way to go! Not surprised at Drop Dead Gorgeous, it has a fervent fanbase even though I thought it was completely laugh-free, but there's definitely an audience for it

I stand by my decision of paying $25 for the DVD a few months ago for the Hawks project

The only sad part is that since the DVD I have came from the Gary Cooper set, getting rid of a slimcase doesn't really clear up any space

Can we retitle it "The Wrong Thread for Posting Warner Archive Announcements," I think that will clear everything up

Now I'm confused, is Drop Dead Gorgeous getting a Blu-ray or not? It's one I have been desperately wanting.
(Unlike Domino, I found plenty of laffs).
