Personally, I'm still waiting for Hud and Paper Moon. Gotta think they're possibilities for the Paramount Presents line, but who knows.

America hates Bogdanovich though, not even Criterion will release the solo blu of The Last Picture Show after breaking up the Lost and Found box. The Illuminati sway.

Yes, two great films! Wonder Boys remains a personal favorite that was very meaningful for me during the early aughts and I've long waited for an upgrade. Hopefully this'll give more folks a chance to check out We're No Angels, since I think the members here who are fans of dry dark comedy will love it. For those interested, here's a fun back-n-forth knives and I had about it in the 50s thread.

Quick reminder that if ordered from Amazon these barebone MOD catalog titles are BD-Rs, but they are pressed if ordered from other retailers like Deep Discount.

Fantastic news on both, especially Wonder Boys. Also, RIP me ten years ago when I paid like $50 for my OOP DVD of We're No Angels

I’ll third the enthusiasm for WONDER BOYS, easily Michael Douglas’s greatest role, and arguably Tobey Maguire’s as well. But the whole movie is pretty much perfect.

I haven't seen it in years, but Wonder Boys is probably my favorite Hanson film as well, and the cast - Douglas, Maguire, Downey Jr.,etc. - really are perfect. Sad story, but someone in the business once told me that he got a job on a Hanson project, much to his delight, only to be crushed when Hanson suddenly left the film because it was revealed that he had Alzheimer's (in actuality, a rare form of dementia) that made it impossible for him to continue. (I have no idea if it was already known he was ill or if something acute happened that spurred an examination.) I was shocked to hear this as he was still alive and I had no idea he was ill.

I highly recommend (re)watching the movie alongside (re)reading the book. Neither quite nails their differences and there are things that work better in one medium and not the other, but together they’re fantastic

Same, yet it was one of those titles on display at the local video store for (what seemed like) years so I sure never forgot it existed back then

I'm a bit confused: The Odd Couple (1968) is currently available on Amazon as "Blu-ray," while Deep Discount presents the available blu-ray as "Manufactured on Demand." Is there any hope of receiving a pressed blu-ray of The Odd Couple (1968), if ordered from Deep Discount?

Anecdotal, but there's this response on blu-ray.com

"I watched this on Amazon during lockdown and found the new restoration to be absolutely gorgeous. My first thought was, "Why doesn't To Catch a Thief look like this?!" Super crisp and detailed while also remaining clean and vibrant. Hopefully nothing else is added to it for Blu-ray because it looked immaculate."

Strange coincidence, I just looked up whether Small Soldiers was available on BD this morning. Definitely picking it up.

In an even stranger coincidence, I did the exact same thing yesterday, which was when I first saw the listing

Regarding Elizabethtown, looks like the special features list is cherry-picking from both DVD releases, though now it reads Deleted and Extended Scenes, whereas previous DVD editions only listed the "extended" - hopefully this means more have been dug up, though I'm not counting on it
