Those ones that originally came in boxsets have probably never had individual booklets

I bought 20 titles from the Camp Arrow sale and of the 15 Arrow Video/Academy titles, only Thieves’ Highway, Kansas City and The Mad Fox arrived with booklets. That’s pretty much in line with my expectations at this point.

12 Monkeys arrived today from my July 1st Zavvi order and surprisingly it has a booklet and slipcover! My July 1st order from Arrow's website arrived today and consisted of Hôtel du Nord, The Major and the Minor, Terror In A Texas Town (big surprise!), and The Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion all with booklets. The others did not as expected with Gosford Park (have the PDF), The Early Films of Olivier Assayas, The Fireman's Ball, Rififi (have the PDF), Closely Observed Trains, The Suspicious Death Of A Minor, What Have You Done To Solange? and The Red Queen Kills Seven Times.

It's really annoying when people get booklets from Arrow, several months after your order arrived without one!

Bought some U.S. editions from Grindhouse's sale:

The Big Knife
Bloody Spear at Mount Fuji
Melo
Terror in a Texas Town

With booklets and slipcovers:
12 Monkeys
The Far Country
One Missed Call Trilogy

No booklets:
My Name Is Julia Ross

Also did a huge order from Amazon UK that included the following Arrow UK releases with no booklets:

My small Arrow order arrived today. Daniel Isn't Real and Hitch Hike to Hell had booklets, whereas The Day of the Jackal and Scalpel did not. Jackal not having a booklet was not a surprise, though I was hoping for one in Scalpel. :(

Received my small August 4th Zavvi order and PIT STOP has a booklet while TEXAS, ADIOS and as expected THE CITY OF THE DEAD did not have them. For fun I will state my eBay order of BFI's BEAT THE DEVIL arrived with a booklet as eventually people will be getting some without booklets whenever the first pressing has exhausted itself.

Extremely surprised to get a booklet with a Zavvi order of The Voice of the Moon, which is over three years old.

Question: Are all Arrow steelbooks limited first pressings, and therefore guaranteed to contain a booklet?

I don’t know if it’s a guarantee, but my steelbooks of Donnie Darko and Ring both have booklets. I’d say since they are limited editions they should all contain one.

On the Stuart Galbraith commentary for WARNING FROM SPACE, he refers the listener to an essay on the accompanying booklet...so anyone getting the disc after the first pressing will know they are missing out!

Thanks Ovader, glad someone's keeping an eye on it.

It's worth noting that there are some box set PDF's now available, including for Six Gothic Tales which even includes the comic book reproductions. It's just a shame enough people complained about out-of-print titles still being listed on their site that they delist them, consequently meaning all those titles won't ever have their booklets available online. I bet it was the same crowd that put Criterion off releasing dual-format editions.

Wow, this now turns out to be quite a hefty list with these updates. I'll have a look very soon before indeed some get delisted...

I had a perfect run for this sale, 4/4:
  • Black Angel
  • Dark City
  • Hotel du nord
  • Manon
Hopefully we are back to see the benefits of having more sensible print runs.

Not so much for me!

With booklet:
- The Legend of the Holy Drinker

Without booklets:
- Horrors of Malformed Men
- Kolobos (disappointed with this, it came out in 2019)
- Madhouse
- The Quiet Earth (ditto, it came out in 2018)

Received avec plaisir from the Shocktober Sale which took 15 days to ship to Canada. THE MAD FOX, AMERICA AS SEEN BY A FRENCHMAN, MANON, THE LOVE OF A WOMAN, MONTPARNASSE 19, and LE PLAISIR all have booklets. THE RUNNING MAN, DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING, THE ABOMINABLE DR PHIBES, BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR, THE OX-BOW INCIDENT, PROPERTY IS NO LONGER A THEFT, and RAWHEAD REX without booklets as I have expected. With the exception of PHIBES and PROPERTY I have the PDFs for the items without booklets.
