Sorry.. no it isn't Idaho.

It's from Belgium. In it, there is a dreary bar decorated with sparkly Christmas tinsels.

Yes! :D

Happy Holidays!

How about this one:

I hate LA. All they do is snort coke and talk.

I just watched Brakhage's the Stars are Beautiful last night for the first time and realized I recognized this quote. Hope that's not cheating...

Here's one:

Down By Law and... Armageddon? Bruce Willis is the only person I can picture actaully saying that.

I'll just do a gimme since I've been dying to use this:

"If there's one thing I like more than being mean... it's being sneaky!"

No, that's W.C. Fields, commenting on the short actress he has been charged to direct in the film-within-a-film in The Bank Dick.

Here's one:
"Sausages! ... Europeans eat sausages wherever they go."

Black Narcissus. (That took me about five solid minutes of mental searching.)

The Long Good Friday. Ugh. Why'd you have to make me think of that?

Okay, this should be easy, but it's one of my favorite exchanges in a marvelous script:

"People around here are very poor, I suppose."
"Not poor. They just haven't got money."
"It's the same thing."
"Oh no, it's something quite different."

Written on the Wind

"I'm feeling s-o-o-o badly!"

And the answer to my previous, outstanding quote is Captain Planet/Short Cuts.

I have no idea! But then again I've only seen about fifty of the movies in the collection. Here's an easy one while you guys think about that last one:

"Dead or alive, you're coming with me."

Doubly horrible, someone'd already used your quote if that's Tokyo Story again. I don't know if I should solve my own quote or provide a clue. It's a short film and, if not the oldest, among the oldest in the collection. Here it is again:

"I'm feeling s-o-o-o badly!"
