Just watched this one. Mostly enjoyable but don't discount how bad the video damage is. It mostly appears just as the ending sequences get going and really does interfere with the ability to watch the end of the film.

I got the impression that it would have been better to pair this with some other films to make an Early Universal Volume 3, especially since there are two or so other Browning films that have been restored!

Agreed. I picked up the Kino but not sure why this one in particular was deemed worthy of a standalone spine. Chaney is great, but beyond that it fits in well with the other early Universals.
