first trailer up, looks fantastic. Cotillard is sexy as hell in it, as expected.

Fuck me, that looks atrocious. Local Hero in France with all the charm and originality sucked out and replaced with Hollywood screenwriting tips.

Why they would need Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott though? Did Orlando Bloom and Ron Howard have prior commitments?

Yeah! cause someone Inheriting the place where they grew up, and whilst there, rediscovers the joy of life, is completely the same as someone getting sent to buy land to turn into a refinery.

Eh, looks ok. I still hope Ridley will do American Gangster with Russell and Denzel.

It's still basically the same uptight money-mad city dweller is transformed through simple rustic pleasures, realises there's more to life, etc, etc. Sometimes this tatty story can be taken and transformed into something truly magnificent (ie. I Know Where I'm Going!) or else be brilliantly subverted (Withnail and I), but this looks like the laziest possible retread of the same old gash with a couple of "serious" names attached for added profundity. I'm still struggling to see what about that trailer "looks fantastic".

the fact that cotillard is attached completely clouds my judgement. I rewatched the trailer, and I think as a film it looks ok, and cotillard "looks fantastic". my apologies.

That looks like the best movie since "The Da Vinci Code". I especially like the fact that the trailer is like a two minute version of the movie. It's nice to know exactly what a movie is going to be like before watching it. I hate going into a movie and not knowing what's going to happen at every single point. Ridley Scott is the greatest director in history.
Oh, but on a more serious note: Marion Cotillard sure is purrty.

Dear God, this looks really bad.

The funniest line of the year might be: "You have to choose money or choose your life." Because that's how it is in all corporate boardrooms.
