I mistakenly thought he had worked with Sonic Youth at some point. That would have been a good fit in the late 80s/early 90s.

It seems a little disingenuous to expect anything like that (biopics should be outlawed for matter of good taste for eternity, be you Icona Pop or The Geezinslaws or the late & lamented Mister Softee), but whatever eventual "hollywood" form resembling Steve's likeness should be automatically equipped with a fake italian dub track.
