Can any of our German friends make heads or tails of this? The guys seem to be a little confused as to whether or where the box is going to come... but with the promise of the restored HAUNTED CASTLE, TABU, and NOSFER (plus PHANTOM), it sounds like quite a mouthwatering project. Anyone know what these guys are talking about?

This seems like dreaming rather than reality... Nothing, absolutely nothing about it on the Murnau-Stiftung's website. The only thing they DO announce for this autumn is a box of early German Lubitsch silents, which I'm actually looking forward to very much. But as far as these Murnaus are concerned: a company which has not even managed yet to release "Caligari" and "Faust" in Germany will hardly do "Vögelöd" or "Der brennende Acker", will they?

And as the FWMS site (as well as the Transit site) are both updated once a decade, I was thinking they had an ear to the ground on these. The films are correct (viz the PHANTOM, TABU resto's plus NOS resto w the Becce or is it Erdmann.. groggy right now.. Also Schloss has been circulating a bit over past 2 yrs), so maybe they know someone or heard something noteworthy?

And where in gods name is GANG IN DER NACHT? Innarested owing to the Swedish influence angle, coming offa them Stillers.

It should also be noted that the last entry for the german link listed above was in Dec. 2005. Since then the trail has "dried up". Would welcome such an issue, but it doesn't look promising.
