I would assume a lot of people, especially considering how genre/horror films dominate the boutique blu scene. Just take any horror film that was playing on TV nonstop during the 80s/90s (doesn't even have to be good), release it in a oversized slipcase (or slipcover), add some pointless and useless paraphernalia (e.g. postcards), and watch as the money comes in.

Dommy Mommy (non-derogatory) it appears that you don’t appreciate the financial value in campy fish out of water horror starring a Russ Meyer style lesbian based off a character from an old horror host show. If anything it makes 5x more sense than a lot of stuff Vinegar Syndrome puts out on the format.

Yep, 4K restorations and UHD authoring aren't cheap undertakings, so the existing sales must justify it.

Also, many die-hard horror fans will literally watch anything. This was an explicit point of pride of my ex's father, a man who in his spare time helped edit a monster fanzine.
