Patrick Stewart's best onscreen kiss! And the most outlandish aspect of the film maybe being the notion of the UK having a dedicated space programme!

I love this goofy movie (but was terrified by the dessicated zombies as a kid!), and am still amazed that what amounts to a blockbuster budget scaled take on a Quatermass film (hence the UK having a space programme being treated so casually I suppose!) mixed up with the 80s phatasmagorical effects trend that was big at the time and arguably kicked off by the first Poltergeist film (with Poltergeist II: The Other Side arguably perhaps acting as the ultimate end point of this trend) ever got made!

Lifeforce is a deeply stupid, goofy movie, but it goes at it with such gusto it's hard not to enjoy.

I just watched the international cut yesterday, and I do have to agree with you with that it's a dumb film. It's actually a fun time when it's more focused on the horror and special effects side of things but then starts to loses itself when it focuses on the story, especially since it drowns itself in its own self-seriousness. It also doesn't help that Steve Railsback is borderline awful in this, especially with his wooden acting and stunted line delivery.

You know what else I’d love to see in motion?

It seems that LifeForce's UHD has been suddenly cancelled, as my Amazon order was removed and its not on Arrow Films' store any more. Either that or it wildly exceeded its "Limited Edition" run!

It's definitely the latter; there are plenty of photos of it on the BR.com forums, but it was sold out everywhere on release day which Arrow really tries to avoid these days.

I've been chasing a lot of avenues trying to get a confirmed order, hopefully my Rarewaves order is the one but I won't believe that until it's in my hands.

Actually I don't think they try to avoid having the limited editions sale out before release date, since it seems to happen quite frequently with their bigger releases.
