Except the main source isn't World of Reel. He's just taking information from Daniel Richtman. Let's not give WOR any sort of credit.

Jane Schoenbrun's next film will be titled Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, which they reportedly described as being a cross between Portrait of a Lady on Fire and Friday the 13th. Additionally, they told Gregg Araki that it will be
all about sex—essentially a movie about learning to enjoy sex after transition. Pre-transition, it wasn’t that I was asexual—I had plenty of desire—but having good sex in the wrong body was impossible. What was available was full dissociation, which is obviously a theme in the first two films. … This is literally what my next movie is about, learning to enjoy sex. Just a fun movie about learning how to overcome sexual trauma and stop dissociating during queer sex.

As fascinating as this is, the key takedown for me is that this has made me realize the connections between Araki and Schoenbrun.

I watched Totally Fucked Up in November and was struck by at least one shot (the billboard at night) that Schoenbrun took directly for TV Glow.

“It's a very new take... It's all about Rock 'N' Roll,” says Amy Pascal.
I'd heard reports Gerwig was going to walk after Netflix refused to budge on a real theatrical release, but she's secured a wide IMAX release next Thanksgiving, and monthlong theatrical window, for the first movie.

City on Fire says Johnnie To and Tony Leung are going to shoot a gangster movie together in Japan. To and Leung! Hell yeah. Is this their first collaboration?

At the end of the article it sounds like Paper Tiger may still come first, which looks to be something of a return to the crime stories of Gray's earlier work:
“Paper Tiger” is described as a tense and gritty story about two brothers pursuing the American Dream, only to become entangled in a scheme that turns out to be too good to be true. As they try to navigate their way through an ever-more dangerous world of corruption and violence, they find themselves and their family brutally terrorized by the Russian “Mafiya.”
Nice to have two new Gray films to look forward to!

Yorgos Lanthimos will adapt Fatale by the excellent French crime writer Jean-Patrick Manchette. Some here may recognize his name from Chabrol's Nada.

Martin Scorsese to direct Leonardo DiCaprio, Dwayne Johnson & Emily Blunt in Hawaii-set period crime drama
To be written by Nick Bilton, the film focuses on a turbulent time on the island paradise when an aspiring mob boss battled rival crime factions to wrest control of the underworld of the Hawaiian islands. It was a bloody battle, the kind of terrain Scorsese covered in both Goodfellas and The Departed. In 1960s and 70s Hawaii, this formidable and charismatic mob boss rises to build the islands’ most powerful criminal empire, waging a brutal war against mainland corporations and rival syndicates while fighting to preserve his ancestral land. It’s based on the untold true story of a man who fought to preserve his homeland through a ruthless quest for absolute power — igniting the last great American mob saga, where the war for cultural survival takes place in the unlikeliest of places: paradise.

Is there anyone else with more projects announced that never come to fruition that Scorsese? He's seemingly tied to something new every few months

He's been dwelling on his own mortality for a while now, and I suspect he's just trying to get something, anything going instead of frittering away his remaining good years on Chanel commercials. He'll do whatever comes together next.

Ridley Scott. I can’t believe how many projects he/his people talk about:

Monopoly: The Movie

The Forever War

Brave New World

Bee Gees biopic

Many, many others from the last 10 years

Those 3hr downers don't pay for themselves! Good for Dwayne, I assume Marty saw enough good things from his work with the Safdie Brothers to put him in this movie.

Charlie Kaufman’s next film sounds more than a little been there, done that: Eddie Redmayne and Tessa Thompson will star in Later the War
Kaufman adapted the script from the short story Debby’s Dream House by acclaimed author Iddo Gefen from his short story collection titled Jerusalem Beach.

The original short story follows a man who manufactures dreams for people but ultimately begins creating nightmares for them. Exact plot details of the feature adaptation are unknown.

Ryan Gosling’s production company is developing it, so he might start

I wonder what happened to The Memory Police. The novel underwhelmed me
