I mean, if this user actually is a Trot, very common line for them to take. Nothing they love more than allying with conservatives on the grounds of "not wanting to divide the working class"

Why are you figuring him as a Troyskyist?

In the ridiculous reviews thread, they posted a quote from the review of Sinners hosted by the World Socialist Web Site, which is a Trotskyist news source. My reasoning is why be on that web site reading their review of Sinners unless that's what you already believe, especially when the second line of that review (unmentioned by Maladroit Aggregator) is complaining about the New York Times' 1619 Project for being "reactionary?" Like, for you to read that piece of text and for the one sentence about Delroy Lindo to be the standout is itself revealing

All I can think of is: Stripper; Alcoholic; Dead"), but I'm not sure that I need to see any more of this subgenre than those critiques!
I defer my SOV watching to Bleeding Skull first, which does produce a solid bit of winners here & there (also, all of their physical books containing these titles are way OOP, anyway, so the site is a kind of gold mine for that sort of thing). Taking many shots for many officiating teams that would otherwise never even care!

Though we are all now deeply off topic, I couldn't help but mention how uninvolved Malkmus is/was with the whole Pavement revival (like an athlete curving 40+ (or 60! in rock terms) on a cool streak, scarf blowing in the breeze, or maybe that's just his personality in general), but at least he's making Big Bank now that nostalgia has fully come around (he seems nice enough, but would probably cut in front of you at the grocery store holding armfuls of cat food). His solo performances while reading the occasional lyrics off of his laptop have always stuck in my mind as his best version of his material, which I hope happens again sooner than later, or maybe with whichever of Echo & The Bunnymen are still alive to be his backing band (since all of The Jicks are probably county clerks at this point). EDIT: You can't stop this train!

Unless you were talking about Spoon, who might as well've had the same 25 (ok, 18!) years since a decent studio album ](*,)

Every Spoon album of the last 25 years has been good. Some great, but at minimum they've been solid - they're possibly the most consistent and prolific rock band that's still active as a touring and recording act.

Also, from all accounts I've heard from people who've encountered Malkmus (usually at colleges for gigs going back 20 years), he's courteous and down-to-earth, at least to students.
