To be fair though, Second Sight's LEs are huge almost twice-as-expensive DF releases, while the differences between Arrow's LEs and standard releases are a few postcards, a poster and a 50-pages booklet for £5.

Yes, Finch isn't really comparing like with like. Second Sight has a business model that's quite distinct from that of Arrow, Indicator, Radiance et al - and with those three (and others) releasing standard editions at the same time would completely undermine the point of having a limited-edition release, which is to encourage people to spend close to the RRP close to the release date, when a label is at its most financially vulnerable.

I can't speak for Arrow, but Indicator only releases standard editions when the limited edition has sold out, and that's been policy since day one. Similarly, you won't see anything less than six months old getting a discount in a sale, for the same reason.
