I might actually have to see this! Was my favourite videogame as a teenager. Can’t say that I was hugely impressed by the first film (also directed by Gans), but the film looks faithful enough to the game that it’s bound to capture some of its atmosphere.

How to Make a Killing. John Patton Ford (Emily the Criminal) does Kind Hearts and Coronets without the gimmick. Glen Powell, Margaret Qualley, a lot of underlining.

So they made the Stalin stand-in some clueless party bro, and added some business woman who wants to take over the farm as the real villain? This is just an entirely different allegory then? About how capitalist outsiders want to ruin the big socialist party going on?

Adam Scott plays the lead. Offhand I can't think of anything else on the 2026 slate exciting me this much.
