We learned MGM/Amazon had changed their minds about the boxset (why? Beats me!) a couple of months ago and, knowing how much people had requested a boxset last year, decided to oblige as soon as we could. The individual LEs had their time.

Speaking very selfishly, I’m very relieved we didn’t have to try and get all three films ready for the same date last year - trying to release them in consecutive months (which obviously didn’t work out anyway, as the various delays attest) was enough of a nightmare.

Someone recently tried to argue that a box set counted as "one release" (he was complaining about "only one release this month"), but as far as I'm concerned it was six separate discs, with all the workload that that implies.
