Getting close to that time again. The 2 likely days based on releases are Feb 24th with The Man Who Wasn’t There and Network or March 24th with Killers of the Flower Moon. Feb 24th falls in that sweet spot of where the sales usually have been. March 24th would be the latest the sale ever happened. I guess we’ll find out in a few weeks. But I think the more likely is the Feb date.

They’re running a sale at an odd time. Now thru the 23rd 30% off all 4k discs including pre-orders. I guess the flash sale will probably be in March

Didn't they do this last year too though in mid Feb? It is tempting me especially because I have the $10 voucher still but I can wait for a couple more weeks and apply to the 50% sale.

I posted this elsewhere, but as a reminder Atomicmoviestore is running a sale on some preorders that won't be available during the upcoming sale (i.e. April releases like Trouble in Paradise, Point Blank, etc.), so if you're looking for a good deal on preorders that aren't very close to the July sale, might wanna check over there. Prices are cheaper than Criterion's 30% off sale

Didn't the last flash sale immediately follow a 30% off sale?

I guess I forgot. Maybe I was thinking of June sales before the Barnes and Noble sales, unless I'm totally confused

no, I checked emails. and when they do a 4k 30%, its about 3-4 weeks prior to the Flash. Almost certainly the March 24 date, now.

Of course. Just after two of the coupons they sent me expire.

Might it not start tomorrow? Or will that take the wind out of today's announcements. I could have sworn I had a coupon for $10 from them, but I can't for the life of me find it. (EDIT: found it. I was searching my email for "coupon" instead of "gift card.")

We’ll know because certain subscribers will get a coupon the day before. Bet on next week with the big titles (though I wish it was the 31st so I could get the Lelouch)

Is tax included when calculating loyalty points?
(Never mind: I read the fine print! It doesn't. I'm strategizing how to get $50 gift card and place another order same day of flash sale.)

I'm sorry if this has been asked before (I imagine it has) but how long does one usually wait for loyalty points? I placed an order for $35 worth of empty cases, which brought my total points to 492, reflected immediately on my dashboard. A few moments later I placed an order for two pre-order discs totaling $85, which would have put me well past the 500 necessary for a $50 credit. But, the points have not shown up. Do pre-orders not count towards points? Is the proximity of orders causing a problem? How long should I wait before contacting customer service?

I think they're typically awarded the same day they're earned

I would think that the points are credited either when your card is charged or when the items ship.

Is it odd that they haven't sent out the $10 off coupons? Have they had a sale without doing that?

I don't want to jinx it, but I sometimes wonder if they'll ever pull the plug on flash sales and say "everything sells, why should we give a huge discount for it?" That kind of happened with some audiophile boutiques, where coupons that were once common became smaller (like 10 or 15% instead of 20%) and then much more scarce.

It starts at noon, right? I'll make sure to leave for lunch a few minutes early on Tuesday.

That was also the case for B&N, using 20% off coupons during the 50% off sale and paying with a gift card that had been bought during a sale and getting reward credit for it on top of all that! So the widdling away of discounts was probably understandable in their case.

I recently unearthed a receipt from that era, where I purchased a total of more than $360 list price Criterion titles for about $115. (You forgot to mention if you were a B&N member you also automatically got an extra 10% off the sale price right out of the gate.)
