Universal releases used to be bad because they applied DNR heavily to many of their scans. Presumably the raw scans themselves would be fine (and these are recent restos, aren't they?)

Is the revived Eclipse Blu line exclusive to North America? I'm pondering the possibility Indicator pick up these new restoration. I'd certainly go with them for individual releases plus more extras.

From what I gathered, Monte Carlo looks embarassingly bad by today's standard, being the only title from an old HD transfer (think Universal's earlier HD transfer of Ruggles of Red Gap or Make Way for Tomorrow from MoC). The other three look fantastic.

An Indicator box, like Ford at Columbia, would win the Criterionforum Release of the Year Award and then sell out in a mere 5 or 6 years.
