As mentioned at a Q&A, Terry Zwigoff and Bruce Goldstein went to Criterion yesterday and did back-to-back closet videos.

Additional programming includes: a series of screenings and a live recording of Adventures in Moviegoing with Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, the actors, writers, and cocreators behind Portlandia
I wonder if Portlandia's Movie Buffs will be showing The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari.

It would have been funnier if he had brought it with him.

Ira Sachs returns. Winds his way from a memory of stealing from Robert Altman (physically, from his warehouse) to "All art is copy."

Boots in the closet, not always on the ground.

Thierry Frémaux. The Godzilla spine tucked under one arm, Il Posto in his other hand, talking Jack Nicholson.

By the editing, it seems like he was actually there for longer but they cut it down (awkwardly) to post it.

He's not exactly brimming over with insight or praise for these movies. "Terrific."

But it would be fun if Criterion just shot these in real time and gave people only 2 minutes to choose, like an episode Supermarket Sweep. Actually, I think that's how the traveling Criterion Closet truck works, you get 3 minutes to shop (but it's not filmed, of course).

Zizek’s closet visit is one of the few ones that is an uninterrupted take, though that’s probably because everything he says is hilarious and he moves at a million miles a minute so there was nothing to trim

Par for the course, whether it's an interview or a casual information, DeNiro simply isn't verbose or forthcoming, at least for the public. (He clearly has no problem discussing things in-depth with Scorsese, but there's also a level of trust there that goes back to their shared roots as teenagers.)

But as others have mentioned, the editing does feel very awkward. I doubt they're cutting anything worthy though.

If you'd downed a drink for each time he said Terrific in that video, you'd have been near comatose by the end of even that two minute clip.

Paul Rudd calls for the Up series, randomly grabs something out-of-print.

Rudd seemed super excited and nervous to be there, almost breathless.
