I've said it before and I'll say it again: Wisit Sasanatieng is my favorite new director after seeing his two deliriously over-the-top opuses, Tears of the Black Tiger and Citizen Dog.
Apparently, he's venturing into new territories (the horror flick) and somewhat abandoning his gaudy, flashy, pop-art visual trademark. I hope he doesn't disappoint this time around. That would be a real shame. But I'm just being uncharacteristically pessimistic here. Hopefully, it will be as good as his two previous ones.

About that change of style:
About that change of style:
For those curious about the change in visual style in this film Sasanatieng explains that he is basing the visuals on the painting style of Haem Weatchhakorn and, most intriguing to me, notes that this is a film entirely reliant on mood and atmosphere rather than CGI and special effects.

Another review:
Wisit Sasanatieng's latest film "The Unseeable" has just been released in theaters in Thailand and here is an interview that was printed in the Bangkok Post. At the end of the article it makes mention of his next project - a martial arts film along the lines of the Shaw Brothers!
