I did this awhile back when I noticed they'd misspelled 'Michael Powell' as 'Micheal Powell' on the cover art of A Canterbury Tale, back when it was still a forthcoming release. They fixed it a day or two later.
I just finally got my copy of the Louis Malle docs, and was a little surprised to see the standard sized double keep case used for Phantom India. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they went that way and I don't know how else it would have been packaged, but it makes me wonder how Raymond Bernard is going to work. A double keep case and four thinpaks are one thing, but a double keep case and ONE thinpak might be awkward, especially in that sleeve. Maybe we'll see something similar to Yojimbo/Sanjuro and I Am Curious?

Maybe by late Ozu it might be changed, one would hope!
Ozu will likely (and sadly) wind up the same as what we've seen so far, but I have a hard time believing they'd stay consistent with a 3 disc release, which might hopefully open up the possibility of experimenting with different packaging concepts in their 5 and 6 disc releases.
I'd be curious how many people would be willing to pay 10 dollars more for a more stable Eclipse packaging. How hard would it be to set up another poll on this forum.

I would pay $5.00 more.
I'd be willing to pay $5 more if they'd stop using the flimsy cardboard on their regular box sets (Rohmer, Robeson etc) and go with sturdier boxes (e.g., Almodovar from Sony, Bond boxes off the top of my head)... I'd just as soon not pay it for the Eclipses; kinda like the low-rent-ness of them. My vote fwiw.
Has the font on IF.... always been green? I thought it was white with the orange dot. I couldn't find an older picture. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.
Maybe it's a digipak and both covers will be used somehow? I noticed the year has been changed also. The new one has 1969, even though the Criterion page still lists 1968.

That totally rinses the Criterion packaging, especially since it appears to be coming with all the same extras plus a trivia subtitle track. I don't know if the UK version will actually come with a load of postcards and a copy of the script (which it seems to, judging from the picture), but if it does it'll be no contest.
Wow. You're right. It seems like the ultimate package (assuming it includes everything shown). I wonder how it will measure-up against Criterion's image-wise.
