The Killer 4K
Hard Boiled 4K
Robocop 4K
Salo 4K (They have to get theirs out soon before everyone buys the other 2 recent releases first)
Children of the Corn The Complete Collection with 12 UHD discs, 12 Blu Rays, and 400 hours of bonus features including the brand new 3 hour cut of Children of the Corn 4.

That's absurd, Criterion would never produce any more than 399 hours of bonus features.

Cape Fear ('62) / Cape Fear ('91)
Deliverance
The English Patient
I Shot Any Warhol
Parasite (upgrade)
Wild at Heart
Plus, a large special edition box set for K-Pop Demon Hunters that does not get a spine number. Just a wild guess.

That’s been my thought for a while now, however if Warner were willing to give Criterion
Citizen Kane on its 80th birthday and the Kubrick titles for a career boxset, knowing those are some of their biggest titles, it would be odd for this one to be off limits.
I can't find the post now so maybe I imagined it, but I thought I saw someone from Vinegar Syndrome saying they weren't able to get
The Devils because Criterion had dibs if WB ever let it loose.

Is there an outside chance The Devils actually gets released on UHD by WB themselves under, say, the WAC banner, considering they're already making a show of the theatrical revival release?

The folks over at Blu-ray.com forum are convinced it’s coming from Warner and that George Feltenstein is playing a roll in it’s release

Its the extended cut of Children of the Corn 4 that pushes it over the 399 mark.

Going off of
this hint image, my guesses are:
Jaws (1975)
Batman (1989)
Rascal (1969)

Not quite sure of the reliablity of that image as there is a over of Tim Buton's Dumbo in there as well..

Considering they got the Warner Kubrick titles, I wouldn't be surprised if they could get Batman as well.

Is the cat A Cat In Paris?
On closer inspection there's something else in front, so it's not a cat (on the shelf). Gremlins & Deadpool are the others on the bottom of the frame.

It seems Criterion is just reposting a cartoon from The New Yorker, and not something they produced themselves? I think I also see an Iron Man movie and I have no idea if this is The New Yorker's humor going over my head or just lazily barely following through on an idea ??

If the repost is a clue from Criterion, it’s pretty obviously for a
Grey Gardens re-issue in 4K UHD. But mostly I think they’re just trying to coattail on Jimothy’s current mojo.
(It’s pretty obvious that the New Yorker cartoonist has no idea what’s in the Criterion Closet.)

very likely Warner starts a Warner Clockwork physical media arm and it comes from that. can't see them pouring all this money into theatrical and Clockwork branding just for it to come from Criterion
plus since the BFI didn't announce their release yet, no chance Criterion does first, even if they have it. the BFI are way, way more involved with the film

Remember there was a Criterion Dog Day Afternoon tease which seemed like a year ago. A pic of dogs in the Criterion office. What happened with this release or will it be down the road? Maybe Criterion doesn't have the rights not sure.

As much as I want
Sunrise’s new resto to be released, part of me anticipates that to be a Flicker Alley release.
Criterion didn't care about
Sunrise when Fox was actively licensing stuff, I'd be surprised if they did it now. it feels spot on for a Flicker Alley release ala

A BFI release of The Devils does seem virtually guaranteed at this point. It wouldn't be the first time a Warner films gets a BFI 4K in the UK and a studio-released 4K in North America, since Get Carter had a similar situation.

I've thrown this together only because Frau Blucher prodded, with relatively little consideration because I've been preoccupied elsewhere. The Film Forum presentation of
Forest a few months ago is far enough behind that it's the most likely, IMO. I do feel
Secret Agent is imminent.
Days and Nights in the Forest
The Crying Game
The Secret Agent
Girl Shy
The Great McGinty/State of the Union/The Last Hurrah, or some other election-themed film, given it's a political year
No strong feelings about upgrades.
I believe this is the last time this guy gave us his 2 cents. Where you at?
