I currently have only one Blu-ray digibook, which is still sealed, Dr. Strangelove, but I love the fact that more studios are using this packaging format. First Warner, then Sony and now Fox, and few non-US distributors as well.

The artwork is classy, and the US disc will be cheaper to import than its French counterpart.

Got the film on Friday though I haven't had a chance to see the new presentation yet but wanted to chime in on the packaging: it is quite lovely and study but they could have done without the inside booklet which just consists of one-page biographies and stills. If you're looking for MoC/Crit-style in depth writings about Eve, you won't find them in there.

I don't think any of the Blu-ray digibook releases has in-depth writings about the film.

This looks fucking beautiful, might even improve upon Psycho as the best B+W Blu-ray transfer I've seen yet. The packaging might be slight, but I prefer it to the WB digibooks (yes, even the sleeve) and I hope Fox keeps them and improves upon them. As for the film - I adored it, I hadn't seen it before (it's an LQ favorite, though) and I look forward to digging through the heap of bonus features on this release. Does anyone have any other great Anne Baxter performances to recommend?

Welcome aboard, she's one of the truly greats. The Blue Gardenia is the ultimate, of course, but she's a total riot in A Royal Scandal, greatly unsung in Swamp Water, Oscar-winning (but a little too scenery-chewy) in the Razor's Edge, and totally balls to the wall in Stranger in the House, to name but a few off the top of my head.

Also, we have a dedicated thread for the film if you want to get into it more
