Games (Curtis Harrington, 1967)

#1 Post by duck duck »

Anyone see this James Caan film? It really reminds me of a low budget British version of The Game. Anyone else think so?

Duck Duck,if you like Harrington's work be sure to check out Video Watchdog magazine No. 14(nov/dec 1992,still available from their website) for an excellent article/interview.In the interview he wishes that Universal would release Games letterboxed on laserdisc!I havent seen the movie yet but last summer Uni finally released it,it's only a MOD disc(I believe the first batch was defective but it's now corrected) but that seems to be the name of the game now.

I enjoyed it well enough when I watched it earlier this year, and thought Simone Signoret was marvellous.

Though I don't know where that 18 certificate comes from - the BBFC have passed it 15.
