I saw this film on DVD from Kino, and never thought Second Run would release it on DVD. How nice to be wrong! But I would hope that the rest of the Diary tri/tetralogy will also make an appearance...

This is one of ten Márta Mészáros' films that the Hungarian National Film Fund have restored, and the restoration recently premiered as part of the Berlinale Classics programme. A trailer for the restoration is here. I wonder if this will be coming from Second Run at long last?

Second Run will release this on Blu-Ray later this year, with a UK premiere of the restoration as part of the Cinema Rediscovered festival in Bristol.
