That sounds like an awfully dicey project. Portman can be very good, but she’s certainly not automatically good, and directing herself in a dual role sure seems like something that has the potential to bring out her worst (which I would describe as paradoxically “indifferent overacting”).

But I didn’t see her first directorial effort, so maybe she’s up to it.
