Does anyone know when the 1940 version of WATERLOO BRIDGE starring Vivien Leigh and Robert Taylor will be released? It's one the last of my favorite films that have yet to be released on DVD.

Unless I'm mistaken, that is in reference to James Whale's 1931 version. At this time, I don't believe there to be any word of a release on the 1940 version, which is a shame because it would be very interesting to compare them.

Before TCM ARCHIVES: FORBIDDEN HOLLYWOOD set came along, Warner rumored that they will release both versions of Waterloo Bridge on one disc.

i don't know why WB included Waterloo Bridge (1931) in the forbidden hollywood collection because i'd much rather prefer the 2 movie disc.
