DDHE to bring you Sony classics later this year

Basically, a huge slab of British classics (and a few American ones) that Sony is licensing to DDHE in the UK. Highlights include a new special edition of Tourneur's Night of the Demon, John Ford's Gideon's Day and lots of others.

Another DVD premiere from this group of films is Joseph Losey's "The Damned" from Hammer. I figured this film was slated to receive a DVD release soon as Turner Classic Movies will be presenting it in widescreen on July 2nd at 10:30 pm e.s.t.. Perhaps a R1 edition will soon follow.

Thanks for the link Narshty!

And the first of the Columbia Boetticher/Scott westerns start to appear:

Decision at Sundown at the BBFC (as spotted by John Hodson at The DVD Forums).

A pity that it's full-frame, but an open-matte transfer of a 1.85:1 frame isn't disastrous. Fingers crossed the rest will follow.
