TV Shows on DVD has the real details on the upcoming two-disc set:
The 87-minute big-screen feature will arrive home in both Widescreen and Fullscreen versions (get the Widescreen) on December 18th. Besides the film itself, it's loaded with these extras, all for $29.98 SRP:

* Animators commentary: David Silverman, Mike B. Anderson, Steven Dean Moore, Rich Moore.
* Producers Commentary: James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Richard Sakai, Al Jean, Mike Scully, David Silverman, Dan Castellaneta, Yeardley Smith
* Deleted Scenes:
o Levels
o Springfield News
o DMV
o Sausage Truck
o Animals Painting
* Promos:
o Jay Leno Promo
o American Idol Promo
o American Idol Cold Open

o THX Spoof

Audio is going to be English Dolby Surround 5.1 and also English DTS 5.1 ES, plus there will be Spanish and French soundtracks in Dolby Surround. Subtitles are English and Spanish, and the film is rated PG-13.

I don't think it can be emphasized enough to get the widescreen version of this film. I was really hoping they would do with this what Woody did with Manhattan. Plus, with the way televisions are going, 4:3 will go the way of VHS.

since Groening's said they deleted enough material to compose another movie, I would offer a caveat that the inevitable double dip is surely in this title's future. Like that will stop Me from buying it #-o
The release date should match up with when the season sets usually come out (August and December)!

also, I'm sure this will be rectified on a future release, but what an insult to not have a writer's commentary track
