Is there somebody who knows the quality of this release?

Excellent transfer, but no supplementary features whatsoever. Probably best to go with this.

Thanks for the answer, but since the Criterion are expensive (and a bit light on extras) I think I choose the cheaper UK edition.

Thanks to the current exchange rate, the Criterion is only Â£16.99 from PlayUSA.com - and I'd say an Altman commentary is worth the extra four quid.
