The Last Winter

#1 Post by Fletch F. Fletch »

I really enjoyed Larry Fessenden's latest horror flick and am glad to see that it is finally coming out on DVD:
Genius Products has officially announced The Last Winter which stars Ron Perlman, James LeGros, and Connie Britton. The Larry Fessenden directed horror will be available to own from the 22nd July, and should retail at around $19.95. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital track. Extra material will include a director commentary, and a feature-length making of documentary that includes deleted scenes and an interview with Director Larry Fessenden.

I thought this was good but it totally bombed at the B.O. I went to IFC on opening night and, even with Fessenden present, only about 100 people showed up.

Isn't 100 people pretty much a sell out at IFC?

Really? Ouch. That's a damn shame. I caught it On Demand and loved it - certain aspects (obviously, the setting) evoked Carpenter's remake of The Thing. I really enjoyed the dynamic between characters. I've always enjoyed Fesseden's films - Habit has to be one of my all-time fave vampire films.
