They really aren't growing, just staying stationary. Watched this last night, and was quite amused by a lot of it. Some good anecdotes about his days as Hendrix's roadie, and watching the Beatles play for the first time in Germany. I'll definitely get my hands on the Blu-Ray since it has over 4 hours of more stuff.

Lemmy stops show in Texas three songs in: "I can't do it". This comes on the heels of him cancelling the band's Denver date due to him not responding too well to the high altitudes.

This documentary did not really do much for me outside a few talking heads speaking of amusing encounters with Lemmy and Motorhead in their career and Lemmy's current living situation and his daily slot machine addiction. Easily reminds one of the "Ace of Spades" lyrics: ("I know I'm going to lose / and gambling is for fools / but that's the way I like it baby / I'm not going to live forever!")
Otherwise, Lemmy is pretty private and doesn't open up much, not that I blame him so I don't really feel in touch with him or his band as much as I did with a lesser group during the Anvil: The Story of Anvil documentary.

I like the (no pun intended) fly-on-the-wall approach to some of it, especially when he's recording with Dave Grohl and talking about Hendrix and Little Richard, and his beef with the singer of The Darkness. Some of the stuff with his son was interesting, and I think that was about as dug deep as the two men were comfortable with. Otherwise it pretty much is a series of amusing anecdotes and glimpses of life on the road that don't add up to be as compelling as something like Anvil: The Story of Anvil or Some Kind of Monster.
