Nicholl Fellowship 08

#1 Post by ranaing83 »

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on sites where I might be able to find loglines or synopses of any/all of the finalist scripts. I'd really appreciate any help.

Thanks

This is probably not that helpful, but this is from the Academy's FAQ:
Q. Can I read the Nicholl-winning scripts?

A. All of the Nicholl-winning scripts may be read at the Academy’s Margaret Herrick Library, whose core collection includes more than 9,000 feature film screenplays.

Since the Academy does not hold the rights to any of these screenplays, it does not make them available online. However, it is possible that educational Web sites or the writers themselves have done so.
I guess that means you can try looking up this year's finalists to see if they've posted info on their scripts.

I wish you luck, but Jesus, they gave one for "FINDING FORRESTER"??? If you don't get a fellowship, don't give up your hopes - the list of winning scripts that were made and the credits of those who got a fellowship aren't all that inspiring.

Other produced scripts to have won the Nicholl include: ARLINGTON ROAD, EXCESS BAGGAGE. Yeesh.

On the other hand, AKEELAH AND THE BEE was pretty good...
