I don't see what the problem with that quote is. "[T]he idea that even when faced with a crisis, tribal concerns about power control people's motives" has been the overarching theme of every one of his zombie movies back to Night. Makes no sense to start rolling your eyes at it now.

That's pretty short sighted. Obama will likely win and Americans can feel smug about themselves for five minutes, but his foreign policy is virtually indistinguishable from McCain. He supports Israel without reservation, is prepared to bomb Iran and launch unilateral attacks into Pakistan. He wants other Nato nations to join in a troop surge in Afghanistan. And don't forget it was Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat, who sent troops into Vietnam. Clinton bombed Sudan and imposed economic sanctions on Iraq that killed half a million children.
