I'm not sure if this is a blasphemous opinion, but I preferred the ABC miniseries from a few years ago to any other adaptation of this [still tear-inducing] story. I'm looking forward to hearing the commentary on this disc, though.

Bit of devil's advocate here: how is publishing a graphic novel of this book any different than adapting it to film? Other than the museum's stated intention of appealing to teenagers, which implicitly replaces the written work with a visual one for certain groups of readers, I find nothing wrong with the concept of a graphic novel adaptation of this, or any, book.
